The refurbishment of the athletics track in Maó is progressing at a good pace. This Friday, 14th February, the Minister of Culture, Education, Youth and Sports of Menorca, Joan Pons, the Director General of Sports of the Balearic Government, Joan Toni Ramonell, and the Mayor of Maó, Héctor Pons, visited the construction site.

The refurbishment of Maó’s athletics track is progressing at a good pace
‘The works are now entering the final phase and are scheduled to be completed next March,’ explained the councillor.
The workers are currently working on the installation of the synthetic flooring, the finishing touches to the stands and the storage area of the new facility.
When the work is finished, Maó’s athletics track will have been completely refurbished. The Consell Insular de Menorca is investing 1.5 million euros in the project and the Maó Town Council 430,000.
