The total investment of the two actions is more than 10.7 million euros
The Ministry of Education and Universities has put out to tender, through the Balearic Institute of Educational Infrastructures and Services (IBISEC), the construction of the CEIP Nou de Santa Eulària primary school in Santa Eulària, in Ibiza, and the expansion of the Marc Ferrer secondary school in Sant Francesc Xavier, in Formentera. The two projects represent an investment of more than 10.7 million euros in improving educational infrastructures.
In the case of the CEIP Nou de Santa Eulària, which will be renamed es Farallons, the project includes the construction of a new infant and primary school building with two lines (six infant classrooms and 12 primary classrooms) and a UEECO classroom. Thus, the new centre will have the capacity for 450 pupils, plus the 7 places in the UEECO classroom.

Educació puts out to tender the construction of the CEIP Nou de Santa Eulària de Ibiza and the extension of the IES Marc Ferrer of Formentera
The works have a budget of 8,687,318.58 euros and the execution period is 18 months; the construction of a classroom block on the ground floor and two upper floors is also planned. The administration block, dining hall with kitchen and gymnasium will be located perpendicular to the classroom block and will have a single floor; two circulation spaces will be left between the buildings.
As for the expansion work at IES Marc Ferrer de Sant Francesc Xavier, in Formentera, the project calls for the expansion of the institute with eight new classrooms (six classrooms and two workshops) in the east wing of the first floor.
The tender budget for these actions is 2,070,168.39 euros, and the execution period is 12 months.
With these actions, the Govern de les Illes Balears reaffirms its commitment to improving infrastructure in Ibiza and Formentera, to strengthen the quality of the education system and ensure the best conditions for the educational community.
