A total of 25 companies are participating in this meeting, which will be held on February 20 at the Ramis Factory.

13/02/2025. The City Council of Inca organizes next Thursday, February 20, the second Employment Day in the capital of Raiguer. The meeting will be attended by 25 companies from different fields, which are looking for workers to cover more than 500 job offers.

“This day is a great opportunity for both companies and job seekers. Our goal is to provide a meeting place to streamline the recruitment process and help boost the local labour market,” said the Councilor for Training and Employment of the City of Inca, Maria Francisca Barceló.

For his part, the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno stresses that “we are committed to initiatives that strengthen the economic fabric of the city and this day is a clear example of our commitment to improve employment and promote the professional growth of our citizens”.

The employment day offers more than 500 jobs

The hotel chains Iberostar, Garden Hotels, Hoteles Viva, Nordic Leisure Travel Group, Prinsontel, Four Seasons, Sunwing and JS Hotels are participating in this second Employment Day. Job offers are available for the housekeeping, reception, kitchen, gardening and technical services departments, among others.

Other large companies of the Balearic Islands have also joined this edition, such as Camper, Carmina, McDonald’s, Amer, Man, Mercadona, Hiper Centro or Eroski, for example. The complete list of offers can be consulted here: https://incaciutat.com/jornada-ocupacio

The companies will conduct speed dating interviews of 3 to 5 minutes duration, to all the people who attend the meeting and are interested in a job position. The event will be held at the Ramis Factory, from 9 am to 7 pm.

Dialogue Table: Employment in Inca

As part of this day, there will be a round table discussion on employment in Inca promoted by IncaBusiness in collaboration with the Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE). The talk, moderated by Lucía Mayor -publicist, journalist and coach-, will include the participation of Jorge Cruz, head of the training and HR department of LIDL Inca; Lucy Maestre, franchisee of McDonald’s Inca; Yolanda Calvo, general secretary of CCOO; Tomeu Garcies i Fuster, director and editor of Diari Digital Economía de Mallorca; Antoni Garau, director of CIFP Pau Casesnoves; Agustín Echevarría, director of Human Resources of Garden Hotels; Yoann Blanc, president of AJE Baleares; and Francisca Barceló, councilor of Training, Labor and Employment of the City Council of Inca.

During the round table, topics such as what measures can be implemented to improve the qualification of workers and adapt it to the needs of the current labor market or how to ensure that the salaries offered are competitive and allow workers to cope with the high cost of living on the islands, among many others, will be discussed.
