During the meeting, Galmés highlighted the recent historic agreement between the Consell de Mallorca and the Inca Town Council for the future urban ring road of the city. This urban ring road will run from the Lluc road to the Alcúdia road ring road. This infrastructure, just over one kilometre long, will aim to decongest the city centre and improve mobility in the area.

Another important point discussed was the inauguration of the Miquel Mir residence in Inca, which will offer 50 places for the care of people in a situation of dependency. ‘An infrastructure that responds to the need to expand care services and improve the quality of life of the population of the region,’ said Galmés.

In addition, the president of the Consell de Mallorca explained to the members of the Rotary Club of Inca the future civic road of the Hospital Comarcal de Inca, a key infrastructure to guarantee safe access for pedestrians and cyclists. Currently, access to the hospital on foot is via Carrer de Llubí, a road shared with vehicles, which can create dangerous situations. Galmés recalled that ‘the adjudication of this work was paralysed in 2021 due to deficiencies that have now been resolved, and the definitive approval of the project is scheduled for this quarter’. With a length of 800 metres and a budget of 500,000 euros, ‘this road will significantly improve safety and connectivity of the hospital with the urban centre for pedestrians and cyclists,’ added the president of the island institution.

Finally, Galmés detailed the main investments that the Consell de Mallorca has granted to the municipalities of the county of Es Raiguer, such as those of the Plan de Obras y Servicios (POS), the Plan de Acción para la Energía Sostenible y el Clima (PAESC), the water cycle agreement and the subsidies to improve and create new sports facilities.
