The Sóller branch will be closed from 7 am to 7 pm, while the Can Valero or Puigpunyent Road branch will be closed from 7 am to 11 am. Alternative routes will be provided

Work to reinforce the road surface on the Cintura ring road means that traffic will have to be closed during the day on the Sóller branch of the Sóller road and the Can Valero industrial estate or the Puigpunyent road. In the case of the Sóller branch, specifically the roundabout near the racecourse, they will last from 7 am until 7 pm. Meanwhile, on the access to Can Valero, the branch to the industrial estate in the direction of Andratx will be closed from 7 am to 11 am. On this same access, lane zero of the Jesús road will also be closed from 7 am to 2 pm.

On 28th February there will be daytime traffic cuts on the Cintura de Sóller and Can Valero branch roads due to road surface reinforcement works

The technicians of the Department of Infrastructures of the Consell de Mallorca have waited to carry out the asphalting work on the two branches until this week when there is no school activity to cause as little inconvenience as possible. The central trunk of the Cintura road will not be closed to traffic. Vehicles will therefore be able to take alternative routes to reach their destination.

The works are not carried out during the night because of the temperature. The type of asphalt to be laid does not allow temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius to guarantee adherence, and for this reason, the work cannot be carried out at night. Two very deteriorated branches will have to be milled and the old asphalt removed to apply the new asphalt.

WORK CONTINUES AT NIGHT ON THE RING ROAD

At the same time, work continues on the Via de Cintura and the airport motorway to improve access to Palma during the night. Next week, from tomorrow, Sunday, until Wednesday, work will be carried out on the motorway in the airport direction from 9 pm to 7 am. The tasks will consist of replacing the metal barriers with concrete ones, as well as work to improve safety and signposting. A fourth lane will also be built between the Son Oms industrial estate and the airport, with traffic open and alternative road closures. In the case of the Via de Cintura, traffic will be cut off during the night for the same tasks from the Ocimax roundabout to Can Blau. Vehicles will be diverted via the Ocimax roundabout. Meanwhile, vehicles coming from the Inca motorway will be diverted to Calle Aragón.
