The Directorate General of Mental Health has organised workshops and activities to show that behind a diagnosis there are people with emotions and hope.
On Sunday, the public will be able to try on glasses that mimic the effects of alcohol.
The Directorate General of Mental Health has joined the celebration of the Day of the Balearic Islands with a series of activities and workshops that aim to break down the stigmas and prejudices that still surround the diagnosis of mental health and speak #enpositivo of mental health. The aim is to bring a broader, more inclusive, respectful and open vision of mental health to the public, who will be visiting the stands of the Balearic Islands over the next few days.
Through workshops and talks, the aim is to make visible and break down stigmas in the sense that people with mental health problems are not just a diagnosis and that these illnesses are not an excuse to define and label a person. With the participation of the association la Nostra Veu, there will be photography workshops (Friday at noon and Saturday at 6.15 pm on the main stage) as a meeting place for users of mental health services and devices and the public to share their perspectives and learning, thus enriching mutual understanding.
