The traditional music scene in Inca has been strengthened with the creation of ‘Bufaires. Xeremiers de Inca’, a new association formed mainly by students and former students of the Antoni Torrandell Conservatory of Music. It aims to promote and keep alive the tradition of xeremía. This initiative arises from the collective classes taught at the Conservatory of Inca as part of the subject ‘Peñas de xeremiers y agrupaciones de música tradicional’, taught by professor Cándido Trujillo.

With a strong commitment to popular culture, this association aims to actively participate in the festive cycle and in the different traditional activities of the municipality, contributing its music to local celebrations and events.

Andreu Caballero, the councillor of the Conservatori points out that ‘we are pleased that the traditional music classes carried out by the Conservatori have borne fruit and led to the creation of an association of xeremiers. This initiative fits in with our aim of strengthening links with the musical entities of the municipality and promoting projects that enrich the local cultural fabric’.
