Daniel Juan, new territorial delegate of the Bit Foundation in Eivissa

Juan’s appointment marks the start of the Bit Centre of Eivissa, which began on 28 December 2023, with the signing of an agreement between the Govern de les Illes Balears and the Consell de Eivissa, through which the Bit Foundation has financed the rehabilitation of the 101 building in the sa Coma area, of more than 400 square metres, while the island government has executed the works.

In addition, the Government and the Consell Insular are processing a second agreement for the island government to cede building 103 of the former military barracks to the Bit Foundation. Construction will begin in 2025, will be financed through the insularity factor and will have a surface area of 2,000 square metres, with the aim of housing companies linked to innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship.

‘Eivissa needed to have a Bit Centre, to offer companies and individuals on the island working in the field of technology and innovation a suitable space for the development of their activity,’ said Juan.
