The company Initiatives Portuàries Mirall de Mar de Mallorca S.L. has formalised its acceptance without renouncing to possible challenges.

The Board of Directors of PortsIB has taken a new step in the bidding process to regularise the administrative concession of part of the port facilities of the port of Andratx.

The company Initiatives Portuàries Mirall de Mar de Mallorca S.L. (IP3M) has accepted the conditions established in the procedure, without prejudice to the fact that it reserves the right to challenge the conditions and prescriptions it considers appropriate through the corresponding channels.

The concessionaire of the port of Andratx accepts the conditions of PortsIB

IP3M has accepted the offer of conditions and requirements of the concession approved by PortsIB in the agreement of 14 February 2025, which was notified to it with a period of acceptance of 10 days, subsequently extended by an additional 5 days.

The concession is part of the process initiated in 2024 when PortsIB adopted the decision to divide the management of the port of Andratx into two different concessions: one for IP3M and the other for the Club de Vela Port d’Andratx (CVPA), which operated under a temporary authorisation while awaiting the definitive tender.

This procedure is in response to the execution of a 2017 Supreme Court ruling, which recognised IP3M’s right to obtain the concession after it was the highest-ranked bidder in a tender called in 2002 and subsequently rejected by the administration.
