The design festival will recognise great figures in the sector and reward emerging talent

Palma, 12 March 2025 – The renowned journalist and television presenter Isabel Jiménez will be the master of ceremonies at the grand final gala of the 5th edition of Mallorca Design Day (MDD), to be held on 21 March at the Fàbrica Ramis in Inca.

The event, whose theme this year is ‘Craft Intelligence’, will feature the presentation of the first MDD honorary awards. The winners include Roberto Verino (Fashion), Lázaro Rosa-Violán (Interior Design) and Tomás Alía (Promotion of Craftsmanship), recognised for their careers and contributions to the world of design.

In addition, the gala will reward emerging talent in the categories of Fashion, Interior Design and Landscaping, and will present the winning collections of the National Fashion Award on the catwalk. In this edition, the designer Verónica Lagares has been the national winner, while in the Balearic Islands, Aida María Quetglas, Milla Kaplan and Gemma Sintes will be recognised. Aina Bennasar’s collection, winner of the Art Jove 2024 competition, will also be on show.

The event will also have a space dedicated to food design, with the screening of the Food Design Films, and an audiovisual proposal about Mallorcan gastronomy with the participation of renowned chefs.
