The island’s institution supports Mallorcan producers at the German fair where they showcase the uniqueness and quality of their wines.
The Consell de Mallorca, through the Department of Economic Promotion and Local Development, reinforces its support for the island’s wine sector with its own stand at the ProWein 2025 fair, where ten wineries from the island will be present, offering the international market the quality and diversity of their wines.
The world’s largest wine fair, to be held in Düsseldorf (Germany) from Sunday 16 to Tuesday 18 March, has a larger representation of producers, where they will showcase the uniqueness of the island’s wines to the international market. The stand promoted by the Consell de Mallorca, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, will showcase more than 60 local wines.

Ten wineries from the island attend the international fair ProWein with the support of the Consell de Mallorca to show the world more than 60 wines from the island
Specifically, eight wineries from the Vi de la Terra PGI will share the exhibition space: Mesquida Mora, Castell Miquel, Bodega Son Prim, Bodega 7103, Tianna Negre, Oliver Moragues, Macia Batle and Son Juliana; as well as two wineries from the Binissalem DO, Biniagual and José Luis Ferrer (Franja Roja).
The councillor for Economic Promotion and Local Development, Pilar Amate, together with the island’s director of Economic Promotion and Product of Mallorca, Álvaro Roca, will visit the representatives of the wineries at Mallorca’s grouped stand this Sunday.
‘ProWein is a unique opportunity for our producers to increase trade relations by being in contact with professional visitors from all over the world, and it also allows them to take the pulse of the wine industry in other destinations’, said Pilar Amate.
As proof of the Consell’s support for the wine sector, the councillor explained that ‘this year we have managed to increase the exhibition space to be able to accommodate more wineries, specifically two more than last year, because, as the producers themselves have told us, the presence of wineries at the fair is very important for promotion abroad’.
Programme of visits and meetings
After meeting with the companies on the Consell de Mallorca stand, the Consell de Mallorca delegation will visit the other Mallorcan companies present at the international wine fair, Can Axartell and Binigrau, and the DO Pla i Llevant exhibitor, the wineries of Miquel Gelabert and Miquel Oliver.
They will also take a brief tour of the spirits pavilion, where the Antonio Nadal distillery is located, and will be received by the CEO of the Túnel Group, Jordi Carré.
During the fair, they are expected to hold a meeting at the Consell de Mallorca’s stand with the Spanish ambassador to Germany, Pascual Navarro, together with the economic counsellor of the Spanish embassy in Germany, Manuel Ledesma.
