Retail businesses and certain service companies will be able to benefit from this call for applications.

The Consell de Govern, at the proposal of the Department of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, has authorised an investment of 3,700,000 euros to carry out the call for applications for aid aimed at promoting the modernisation of retail commercial companies and certain service companies, as well as the continuity of commercial establishments and certain services considered emblematic.

The Government invests 3,700,000 euros in aid for the modernisation of commerce and for emblematic businesses

This call for applications is included in the Strategic Subsidies Plan of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands 2024-2026, which includes, among other eligible actions, the call for applications for aid to promote the commercial fabric, competitive improvement plans, marketing and design plans, as well as improvements to competitiveness or the promotion of the commercial fabric.

Among the actions included in this initiative are investments in IT equipment to introduce technological and digital improvements in face-to-face sales establishments; investments that involve a move towards a low-carbon economy, improved energy efficiency and sustainability; investments to improve accessibility and the elimination of architectural barriers; to acquire and install the necessary equipment to modernise businesses and to improve their image.
