Through the programme ‘Viu la Cultura’, the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats continues the cycle of didactic concerts of the academic year 2024-2025 with the concert ‘Operació Òpera’. This Thursday, the Teatre Principal of Inca will host this educational concert at 10 am, an initiative that aims to bring the world of opera to young people interactively and dynamically.

The show proposes a journey through the trades, spaces and music of the operatic genre, but with a special feature: the students, utilizing voting, will decide how the plot develops, making each performance unique and different. This format allows students to become an active part of the story, stimulating their creativity and critical thinking.

The concert will feature three opera singers and a pianist. In addition, students will have the opportunity to actively collaborate by performing a piece of music that they have previously worked on with their teachers or professors. In this way, they will be able to experience first-hand the emotion of being part of an opera performance.

More than 300 pupils from different schools in Mallorca will take part in this unique experience. The participating schools are:

CEIP Llorenç Riber

CEIP Pere Rosselló Oliver

Sant Francesc d’Assís Primary School (Manacor)

CEIP Nadal Campaner Arrom

With this initiative, the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats reaffirms its commitment to cultural and artistic promotion in schools, offering pupils enriching experiences that encourage their active participation in the performing arts.
