The Consell Insular de Menorca publishes a contract offer for reptile monitoring in the Biosphere Reserve

The tender includes three separate contracts: one for the monitoring of the Mediterranean turtle (5,500 euros), another for the control of the Balearic lizard (4,000 euros) and a third for the monitoring of the water turtle (3,500 euros), all to analyse the status of the populations and detect possible threats to their survival.
The tasks will be carried out until 30 October 2025 and will include fieldwork, identification of specimens, population density analysis and environmental impact studies. Interested companies or professionals can submit their proposals until 14 March 2025 through the Consell Insular’s website.
