The aim of the meeting, held at the Consell Palace, was to strengthen the ties of cooperation and institutional dialogue between Mallorca and France. During the meeting, which was also attended by the Honorary Consul of France in Palma, Michel Magnier, issues affecting French residents in Mallorca, as well as French tourists who come to the island on holiday, were discussed.
President Galmés stressed the importance of the French market for Mallorca, both from a cultural and tourist point of view, as it is ‘one of the fastest growing markets on our island in recent years; in fact, it showed a great recovery after the COVID and is a tourist who is respectful of the environment and our land’ and has highlighted the historical and cultural ties that unite the two territories.
