The Department of Culture, Education and Heritage of the Island Council of Eivissa has announced a new line of grants for the maintenance and management of the libraries of the Island Council of Eivissa’s Library Network for the period from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.

The Consell de Eivissa announces grants of up to 130,000 euros for the maintenance and management of the island’s library network
Through this call, several objectives are to be achieved to ensure the quality of the services offered by the network libraries, such as:
Keeping the libraries’ bibliographic and audiovisual collections up to date.
To provide adequate furniture for library services.
Allowing access to information, regardless of its medium, promotes the existence of audiovisual and multimedia reproduction media that guarantee access to library collections.
To promote the presence of new technologies in libraries as a point of access to information.
Encourage cultural habits, especially reading.
To provide citizens with a resource for information, training and leisure.
This financial aid has been allocated to the general budget of the Consell Insular de Eivissa for the financial year 2025, with a maximum amount of 130,000.00 € distributed as follows:
105.000,00 € destined to subsidise current expenses.
25,000.00 € to subsidise inventoriable expenses.
The maximum amount of aid per library will be €25,000.00.
Applications for these grants may be submitted through a general application form through the electronic office of the Consell Insular de Eivissa (seu.conselldeivissa.es), from 26 March to 8 April 2025, both inclusive.
