More than 240 young people between the ages of 18 and 30 have enjoyed an experience that combines sport, coexistence and healthy leisure.
The Consell de Mallorca has concluded the second edition of the ‘Joves a la Neu’ programme with a successful turnout after almost 800 applications, twice as many as in the previous edition. Faced with this great demand, the island institution increased the number of places available, offering a total of 244 places financed by 70%, divided into four different shifts that took place during the months of February and March in the ski resorts of Pal Arinsal (Andorra).

The second edition of the ‘Joves a la Neu’ programme comes to a successful end with a high level of participation
The initiative, promoted by the island’s Directorate of Youth and Participation, is aimed at young people aged between 18 and 30 living in Mallorca, with the aim of offering an experience in the snow that combines sport, socialising and healthy leisure.
The councillor for the Presidency, Toni Fuster, gave a very positive assessment of this year’s edition, stating that ‘the great interest generated by this programme confirms that there is a clear demand for enriching activities for young people’. In addition, Fuster recalled that ‘last year’s evaluations by young people were very positive, and that has encouraged us not only to maintain the programme, but to expand it and consolidate it as one of the benchmark initiatives within our youth offer. Knowing that they enjoy it and value it motivates us to continue investing in experiences that add value’.
For six days and five nights, the participants have enjoyed a complete programme that includes transport, accommodation, ski passes, equipment hire, ski lessons, complementary activities and insurance, with the aim of making the activity accessible and complete for everyone.
