The Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats has today made the drawing public, which will constitute the tribunals.
A total of 1,290 candidates will sit the competitive examinations, which will be held on all the islands and will begin on 14 June.
160 teachers, 63 more than last year, have volunteered to sit on a selection board for the competitive examinations organised by the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats.
These volunteers may make up 50% of the members of the selection boards, which are made up of a president and four members. This morning, trade unions attended a public drawing of lots at the Regional Ministry’s headquarters to determine which teachers will form the tribunals.

160 teachers have applied to participate voluntarily in a selection board for competitive examinations
As was the case last year, the Directorate General for Teaching Staff and Concerted Centres has assigned random numbers to the 12,483 teachers who are eligible to be members of the selection boards for the competitive examinations. In the draw, an innocent hand pressed the button on the programme which drew the number 381, from which all the tribunals will be formed, and which will be evenly balanced.
These tribunals will be responsible for assessing the 1,290 candidates who will sit the competitive examinations for the teaching staff of the Balearic Islands.
The competitive examination for teachers in the Balearic Islands will have a total of 573 places for secondary school teachers, teachers of official language schools, music and performing arts teachers, specialist teachers in special sectors of vocational training, teachers and inspectors. The first test of the competitive examinations will be held on 14 June.
The main novelty of the competitive examination for teachers in 2025 is that the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats has established its own competitions for the island of Formentera, instead of convening them jointly with the island of Eivissa.
In addition, 6 vacancies for inspectors have been announced: three in Mallorca, two in Eivissa and one in Menorca. The draw for the inspector competitions also took place today.
The Conselleria has worked on this call with the aim of being able to offer the maximum number of vacancies possible and promote the occupation of existing vacancies, especially in Eivissa and Formentera, where a hundred more vacancies will be called than in last year’s competitions.
