The Government announces grants for outstanding sportspeople with a budget of 1,100,000 euros

Last year’s call for applications was submitted by 421 sportspeople, 322 of whom received aid.
The Conselleria de Turisme, Cultura i Esports, through the Direcció General d’Esports, has published the call for applications for aid to outstanding sportspeople from the Balearic Islands for a maximum amount of 1,100,000 euros, a sum that remains the same as in 2024, the year in which it was increased by 100,000 euros compared to the previous period.

It should be recalled that the purpose of the call is to support athletes from the islands so that they can improve their training facilities and access to competitions during the year 2025.
The result to be presented must have been achieved in competitions held between 1 January and 31 December 2024.
This call takes into account outstanding results at World level (Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Championships and World Cups, Special Olympics Summer or Winter World Games, etc.), European level (European Championships, IOC European Games, European Ranking, etc.), International level (qualifiers for the Olympic Games), National level (Spanish Championships or Spanish Cup, Spanish Championships by Autonomous Communities, etc.), and National level (Spanish Championships or Spanish Cup, Spanish Championships by Autonomous Communities, etc.).
