The new documentation unit will be located in the former GESA building in Artà Street.

26/03/2025. Inca Town Council and the National Police have reached an agreement for the installation of a documentation unit in the municipality. This initiative will enable citizens to carry out procedures related to the DNI, passport and foreigner’s identity card (TIE) without having to travel to Palma or Manacor, thus facilitating access to these essential services.

To make this project possible, the Inca Town Hall will cede 300 m2 of premises, located in the former GESA building on calle Artà. Now, therefore, the next step is to refurbish the space and adapt it to the needs of the Directorate General of Police. The new offices will be equipped to efficiently serve the residents of the region who need to manage official documentation.

The mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, stressed the importance of this collaboration: ‘With this office, we are taking a step forward in improving the services we offer citizens, bringing essential procedures closer and avoiding unnecessary journeys’. He also thanked the National Police for their willingness to make this project a reality.

On the other hand, the National Police have positively valued this agreement, as it will decongest other offices and improve the attention to citizens and point out that ‘on the part of the National Police a great effort is made to meet the needs of citizens who will avoid displacements’.

Thus, this new administrative office will be an important benefit for the people of Inca and the entire region, facilitating access to essential documentation services without the need for long journeys. Currently, the National Police and the Town Council are working to define the reform project and to be able to start the adaptation works as soon as possible.
