The bus service in Mallorca is reinforced with the entry into force of the summer timetables and the resumption of seven lines for the high season.
With the start of the airport line in the Campos area, the entire Aerotib service will be operational and maintained throughout the year.
The TIB intercity bus network will increase its service as of this Tuesday, 1st April, with the reinforcement of the current lines and the start of seven new lines for the summer season. These improvements are in addition to those already incorporated at the beginning of March with the reinforcement of the Peguera, Santa Ponça, Valldemossa and Alcúdia Bay lines. Also as of this day, all the airport lines will be in service with the incorporation of the A51, which connects Campos with Son Sant Joan, while work continues to incorporate the new Cala d’Or and Cala Rajada express lines this summer.
This increase in service is the result of the improvements made by the Government to the TIB intercity bus service. Through the modification of the contracts of the three bus concessions in Mallorca, the government has adapted the service to the demand and the increase in users in recent years, 20% more during 2024. This modification has also allowed an expansion of the bus fleet and the offer of all Aerotib lines from various municipalities to the airport throughout the year.

The TIB bus network improves the service with the increase in the frequency of the new summer timetables as of Tuesday
In the Serra de Tramuntana area, from 1 April, lines 231 Port de Sóller – Alcúdia and 131, which connects Banyalbufar and Estellencs with Andratx and the coastal area of Calvià, will resume service.
On the Llevant coast, the Cala Rajada line, which serves Sa Font de Sa Cala (423) and Porto Cristo (424) and, on the Migjorn coast, the Cala Pi – Palma line (505), will start operating. The Cala Mesquida (422), Cala Bona (425), Cala Mendia (427), Cala d’Or (428) and Cala Mondragó (521) lines are scheduled to start up again in mid-April and early May.
Line 401, which connects the Llevant coast with Manacor, Vilafranca, Montuïri, Algaida and Palma, returns to the summer timetable and this year adds an extra vehicle to the line, which means more journeys can be added. In this way, the frequency is reduced to 25 minutes at peak times.
n the northern area, the 324 Can Picafort – Alcúdia and 325 Alcúdia – Cala Rajada lines start again this season on the 1st of April. The line that connects Sa Pobla with the bay of Alcúdia (315) this year has brought forward the start of the service compared to last year and has been in operation since 1st March. It is planned to further reinforce the Alcúdia Bay service with the start of the 323 Alcúdia – Alcanada and 334 Alcúdia – Formentor lines from May, the latter extending its route to the Formentor lighthouse from 1 June.
In addition, the Can Picafort – Palma line 302 will also increase its service in this area as of the 1st of April with the new summer timetable, which adds two new early morning departures and a new departure from Palma compared to last year. Thus, between 5:39 am and 8:00 am, there will be six departures from Inca and two from Palma in the Can Picafort direction. This increase is in addition to the improvements already made to this line with the incorporation in early March of two early-morning services and two late-morning services on the Inca-Can Picafort section. From April, this line will have a frequency of 20 minutes in each direction at peak times and service from 5.39 a.m. from Inca to 0.05 a.m. from Can Picafort to facilitate the mobility of hotel and restaurant workers both early and late in the day.
In the Bay of Pollença area, line 301 Port de Pollença – Palma has increased its service, adding three routes in the direction of Palma and four in the direction of Port de Pollença compared to last year’s timetable. In addition, the two early-morning services that only run from Monday to Friday during the winter will run all week from Tuesday the 1st of April. Line 321, from Cala Sant Vicenç, and line 322, which connects Pollença with Port d’Alcúdia, will recover last season’s timetables and reinforce them with the addition of new services.
Starting in June, the new Cala Rajada – Palma and Cala d’Or – Palma express lines will begin operating, offering semi-direct routes to users in these towns. These new services will make it possible to reduce the current journey time to Palma, as it will not be necessary to change between lines. This year the two lines will start in June, but from next year these lines will operate throughout the period from April to October.
Aerotib lines: connection with the airport all year round
On Tuesday 1 April, the A51 line between Campos and the airport will resume service, meaning that all Aerotib lines will be operational. In addition, on the same day, the A11 line, which connects the main coastal towns of Calvià with the airport and which has been in service since 20 December, extends its route with three new stops and reinforces its timetable with more departures.
The A32 airport line, which starts in Can Picafort and connects municipalities such as Alcúdia, Sa Pobla and Inca with Son Sant Joan, has been in service since 15 March. The A42 line, which runs from Cala Bona to the airport, along the Llevant coast and through the towns of Manacor, Vilafranca, Montuïri and Algaida, has been in operation since the 24th of March.
From now on, the airport service will continue all year round, but with changes to the timetable and route from November.
