Health will update the medical records and electronic prescription systems to incorporate improvements in data security
The Health Service has arranged for the aforementioned systems to be updated outside the hours when health centres attend scheduled activity so that the interruption affects professionals and users as little as possible. However, during the hours when the update is being carried out, neither the emergency services nor the pharmacies will be able to access patients’ medical records or the electronic prescription system, which means that they will have to work on paper. The appointment system will also be inaccessible.
The upgrade of e-SIAP and RELE will include improvements to the security of Health Service user data.
