The Women’s Office of the Council of Eivissa and the Santa Eulària Town Council collaborate in the meeting, which offers training in gender equality and disability

More than thirty professionals from the social and health fields are taking part in the conference organised by the Balearic Women’s Institute, IBDONA, ‘For an inclusive approach to equality’, which is taking place today at the Jesús Cultural Centre in Santa Eulària des Riu. During the meeting, organised in collaboration with the Women’s Office of the Council of Eivissa and the Santa Eulària Town Hall, those attending will receive training in gender equality and disability.

The conference, which forms part of the cycle of activities on the occasion of 8M, International Women’s Day, provides tools for professionals to incorporate the gender perspective into daily practice in the social and health fields. Thus, emphasis is placed on the discrimination suffered by women with disabilities based on the interrelation between different factors such as gender and disability, in different areas. In this sense, the interventions of the speakers cover topics such as health and sexuality, the social and occupational integration of women with disabilities and participation in the field of sport.
