Organised by the AECC, 22 municipalities participate in solidarity walks

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, presented the II Circuit Mallorca in March against Cancer. These solidarity walks organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer will involve 22 municipalities on the island during the year 2025, and will bring together people for a common cause: the fight against this disease and the promotion of healthy habits to prevent it.

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, presents the II Circuit Mallorca in March against Cancer

President Galmés highlighted the success of the last edition, with more than 10,000 participants. And he encouraged everyone to ‘walk together, to raise awareness and make visible the fight against this disease’. A fight suffered by thousands of people and their families and that, ‘thanks to the work of organisations such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer, they do not fight alone’.

At the event, the president of the island’s institution presented an award to the representatives of the local boards of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

The presentation, which took place at the Misericordia, was attended by the president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the Balearic Islands, José Reyes, and municipal representatives of the town councils that will participate in this year’s circuit.
