The project offers training and informative actions to encourage business entrepreneurship among women
A total of 227 women from the four islands have completed the ‘Dona Impuls’ self-employment programme of IBDONA and the chambers of commerce of Mallorca, Menorca and Eivissa and Formentera over the course of 2024. With the programme, IBDONA aims to promote the participation of women in the field of business, in this case, self-employment, by providing them with resources for the process of setting up businesses.

A total of 227 women completed the ‘Dona Impuls’ self-employment programme of IBDONA and the chambers of commerce of the islands in 2024
Specifically, through ‘Dona Impuls’, women receive training and information on different legal matters and the main aspects of the business model, as well as information on labour and tax issues.
The programme also provides for the preparation of the business plan, communication of all aspects related to the registration of trademarks and trade names, individualised accompaniment in research and access to financing and support for registering as self-employed with the Social Security.
By islands, the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca has trained 180 women in self-employment; the Chamber of Commerce of Menorca has provided training to a total of 14, while 33 women completed their training with the Chamber of Commerce of Eivissa and Formentera.
The total cost of the training, paid for entirely by IBDONA, was 141,439 euros, of which 112,500 euros went to the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, 8,750 euros to the Chamber of Commerce of Menorca, and 20,189 euros to the Chamber of Commerce of Eivissa and Formentera.
