With this aid, both freelancers and companies will be able to cover, for example, their investments in audiovisual machinery, software licences, or the design of web pages and web environments. In addition, this year, this subsidy will also cover expenses related to training directly related to the object of the call for proposals.

Diana de la Cuadra, managing director of the entity, pointed out that ‘this is a fundamental aid to guarantee the implementation of new technologies in the creation of cultural products’. As the head of the ICIB also explained, ‘it is vital to support the constant evolution of the cultural fabric of the Balearic Islands, as well as its ongoing modernisation’.

It should also be noted that the maximum amount that each beneficiary may receive from this grant is 25,000 euros. In addition, this sum may represent up to 50% of the total budget, excluding VAT recognised by the ICIB. Likewise, the deadline for submitting applications for this aid is fifteen working days from the day following the publication of the call for applications in the BOIB (Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands).
