The Consell de Mallorca kicks off the new ‘Youth in the Serra de Tramuntana’ program during the Easter holidays

This new programme, promoted for the first time by the Consell de Mallorca, aims to reinforce values such as participation, respect for the environment, coexistence and knowledge of the cultural heritage of the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The activity is organised in two shifts according to the year of birth of the participants: from 21 to 23 April, for those born in 2013 and 2014, and from 24 to 26 April, for those born in 2011 and 2012. During their stay, the youngsters will enjoy a full programme that includes excursions, orientation and exploration dynamics, cooperative games and creative activities.

The Consell de Mallorca finances 85% of the total cost, which allows young people to participate for a price of 27,72 € in the first shift and 30,36 € in the second shift, including transport from Inca, full board and all activities.

The Councillor of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception of the initiative: “This new program is a clear commitment to educational and sustainable leisure, which allows young people to learn about, value and protect our environment. The Serra de Tramuntana is a unique area, and we want the new generations to feel connected to it through an active and enriching experience.

The Consell de Mallorca thus reaffirms its commitment to education in values, the environment and strengthening young people’s ties to the territory.
