The Spanish Ministry of Equality, along with regional governments and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, has approved the allocation of €179.8 million to strengthen efforts against gender-based violence, as agreed during the Sectoral Conference on Equality.
Of the total, €160 million will go toward implementing the State Pact against Gender-Based Violence, financing regional programs aimed at prevention, victim support and recovery, as well as awareness campaigns and training for professionals.

Equality Ministry and Regional Governments Agree on €179.8 Million Allocation to Combat Gender-Based Violence
Minister Ana Redondo, who chaired the conference, emphasized the importance of the increased funding and called for united action to “eradicate gender-based violence once and for all.”
The remaining €19.8 million will fund specific regional programs, including:
- €8.5 million for comprehensive social support for victims and their children,
- €1 million for improving coordination and implementing personalized care plans,
- €9.5 million for supporting victims of sexual assault, and
- €800,000 for preventing sexual exploitation of minors in care.
