The School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands (EHIB) has established itself as a benchmark in the recognition of tourism expertise, both nationally and internationally.

The Consell de Govern has taken note of the approval of the EHIB’s 2025 Action Plan.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, special emphasis is placed on the importance of highlighting EHIB’s theoretical and practical training through various initiatives that will guide the path for future courses.

The goals in the field of continuing education for 2025 include: the constant updating of the continuing education course offerings; the ongoing consolidation of the sommelier course — set to restart in October 2025; maintaining the new monographic course on ham slicing; introducing new and diverse topics for the workshops that will be offered from September to December during the 2025-26 academic year; and continuing to promote thematic workshops to solidify the number of registrations, which, from the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year in September until March, have increased by over 250% compared to the previous year.

The EHIB is not only a hospitality training center but also a reference point in the sector, both nationally and internationally. Moreover, its role extends far beyond that of a training institution. EHIB has become a key promoter of tourism expertise and a platform for initiatives aimed at positioning the Balearic Islands as a leading tourism destination. As an autonomous consortium, EHIB also continues to showcase the outstanding local products and the extensive work carried out within the hospitality sector, making it essential to establish public or public-private partnerships where needed.

  • Offering both in-person and digital support to current and former students regarding job opportunities and assisting with the submission of résumés to potential employers.
  • Publishing customized job offers.
  • Providing telephone and in-person assistance to recruiting companies to explain how the Job Exchange Platform works.
  • Supporting the professional integration of students and alumni through collaboration with the sector-specific office of the SOIB, located at EHIB’s facilities, whenever possible.
