The island institution raised its transparency rating to 74% in 2024, surpassing the 66% recorded in 2023, according to the DYNTRA index.

The Consell de Mallorca has significantly improved its level of institutional transparency, achieving a 74% compliance rate with the indicators established by the DYNTRA index in the 2024 evaluation. This result represents an eight-point increase compared to 2023, when the compliance rate was 66%, and reflects the Consell’s commitment to moving toward a more open and accessible administration.

DYNTRA is a collaborative initiative that brings together research groups, social actors, and public institutions. Its index includes a set of indicators designed to measure the quality of public information provided by governments and public administrations.

The Consell de Mallorca Increases Its Transparency Level by Eight Points in Just One Year

The Minister of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, emphasized that “this year’s result is the result of the consolidation of work started in this legislative term, during which we set a priority goal of strengthening transparency as a cornerstone of public management.” In this regard, Fuster highlighted that “in the past two years, four transparency committees have been held, a figure that contrasts with the only two committees convened between 2019 and 2023,” which — according to the Minister — “shows the shift in pace and the Consell’s firm commitment in this area.”

The evaluation results reflect the Consell de Mallorca’s strong performance in several key areas, including institutional transparency, the quality and accessibility of public information and proactive disclosure, the promotion of citizen participation and collaboration, economic and financial management based on open standards, public procurement with transparency guarantees, and services and support provided to the island’s municipalities.

It is worth noting that DYNTRA is the first collaborative evaluation platform that measures institutional transparency through the publication and updating of public information.
