The Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy has opened the registration period for businesses wishing to take part in the “Balears Trade Vouchers” campaign. The program is led by the Directorate-General for Enterprise, Self-Employment and Trade, in collaboration with the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce. Its goal is to encourage local consumption while generating benefits for both local businesses and customers.

With a total of 82,904 vouchers issued, the campaign aims to stimulate the Balearic economy by creating a mutual support network between citizens and commercial establishments.

Businesses Interested in Participating in the Consumer Voucher Campaign

Businesses interested in joining the Balearic Islands’ consumer voucher campaign can register until May 14. Corrections to applications may be submitted until May 25 (inclusive). The second redistribution of vouchers will take place on June 13 before 9:30 AM, during which vouchers will be withdrawn from businesses that have used less than 50% of their allocation and reassigned to those that have used 100%.

Additionally, three questions have been added to the registration form for comparative purposes with the previous edition. These ask:

• Whether the business has a website
• Whether it has a social media presence
• Whether it is interested in participating for free in a new app developed by the Government of the Balearic Islands, funded for the first 200 businesses that register

This app is intended to support digitalisation and increase visibility for participating businesses.
