The Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB) and the UIB organise the 32nd Conference on Anthroponymy and Toponymy
Today, the Onomastics Office published the first circular on its website, opening the call for paper submissions, which will remain open until Monday, September 9, 2025. Submissions must be original and unpublished, and particular consideration will be given to studies that approach onomastics from interdisciplinary and innovative methodological perspectives. Papers may address any area within the fields of anthroponymy (the study of personal names) and toponymy (the study of place names). Presentations are expected to last between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the final number of accepted proposals.
In this regard, IEB Director Llorenç Perelló stated that “this conference aims to promote research and knowledge in the field of onomastics in our islands, and also to highlight the institutional support available to scholars in this discipline.”
