The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, attended the official draw for the race numbers of the 2025 National Trotting Grand Prix this Friday — the most important and iconic horse racing event held in Mallorca. The ceremony occurred at the Son Pardo Racetrack and was attended by a large audience, including fans, horse owners, and jockeys.
The draw was also attended by Gaspar Oliver, President of the Mallorca Institute of Equestrian Sports (IEHM); Juan Antonio Rosselló, President of the Balearic Trotting Federation; Gaspar Lirola, IEHM’s Programming Chief; and sports activities assistant Cristina Velasco.
In a symbolic gesture and for the first time, President Galmés personally handed each jockey the number plate their horse will wear during the race.
