From May 20 to 23, a hundred cyclists will ride through the island’s most iconic locations.
The Mallorca Fire Department, part of the Consell de Mallorca’s emergency services, is organising a cycling tour next week for firefighters from across Spain. From May 20 to 23, participants will enjoy a ride that passes through some of Mallorca’s most emblematic landscapes.
This will be the 36th edition of the event, which was first held in Vitoria in 1985. The tour takes place each year in a different part of the country, with the collaboration of various fire departments. It has become a key event in the world of amateur cycling among firefighters. The Consell de Mallorca and the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium are collaborators and sponsors of this year’s edition.

Mallorca Firefighters Organise a National Cycling Tour for Firefighters
Around 100 cyclists from more than 15 fire departments will take part in the tour, which has become a symbol of unity, effort, and commitment. This is a non-competitive event, focused on enjoying cycling and the scenery. The aim is to share values, strengthen bonds, and discover the territory together.
Rafel Bosch, Minister of Finance and Public Administration, stated:
“It is an honour to host an event like this and welcome all the firefighters coming to participate. On behalf of the Consell, I want to thank the Mallorca Firefighters for organising this edition and congratulate all participating fire departments for making camaraderie and sport a tool for unity.”
This is the second time Mallorca hosts the event, having previously done so in 2015. The tour will cover some of the island’s most iconic cycling routes:
- Stage 1: From Playa de Palma, through Valldemossa and Sóller, returning to El Arenal.
- Stage 2: From Playa de Palma to Playa de Muro, passing Cap Blanc, s’Estanyol, Campos, Porreres, Petra, and Son Serra de Marina.
- Stage 3: Features Puig Major, starting from Playa de Muro and riding through Pollença, Lluc, Campanet, Alcúdia, and back to Playa de Muro.
- Stage 4: From Playa de Muro through Santa Margalida, Inca, Búger, and Sa Pobla, ending once again at Playa de Muro.
