The Home Help Service (SAD) aligns with the Government’s goals of deinstitutionalisation
The Consell de Govern has authorised the Ministry of Families and Social Affairs to sign an agreement with the Island Council of Formentera to manage the Home Help Service (SAD) for people in situations of dependency during the years 2025 to 2027. The agreement includes the option to extend the arrangement for an additional three-year period.

Expansion of the Home Help Service with the Island Council of Formentera from 2025 to 2027
A total of €187,470 will be allocated for 9,000 service hours
Under the agreement, the Ministry will contribute €187,470 to cover the cost of 9,000 hours of home help service between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2027. The breakdown of this funding is as follows:
- €41,660 for 2,000 hours from January to August 2025
- €62,490 for 3,000 hours from September 2025 to August 2026
- €62,490 for 3,000 hours from September 2026 to August 2027
- €20,830 for 1,000 hours from September to December 2027
The Home Help Service is part of the Government’s deinstitutionalisation strategy. It consists of services provided in the user’s home, aimed at offering personal care, punctual and/or urgent assistance, household support, and social support to individuals or families experiencing a lack of personal autonomy, developmental difficulties, or special family situations that prevent them from carrying out everyday tasks.
