During the event, the Guide of Recommendations for the Specific Health Surveillance of Workers Exposed to Psychosocial Risks (PSICOVS2023) was introduced. This guide serves as an effective tool for the early detection of harm caused by these factors and as an instrument for the prevention of psychosocial risks in the workplace.

The guide also aims to enhance awareness among companies, improve the identification and evaluation of such risks, and facilitate the implementation of the necessary preventive actions.

The event was inaugurated by the Regional Secretary for Labour, Employment, and Social Dialogue, Catalina Cabrer, and was aimed at prevention services, companies, and social partners.

The presentations included an overview of the PSICOVS2023 medical surveillance protocol for psychosocial risk, led by Pedro Guillén Robles, Director of Health Surveillance at Europreven and Technical Office for Prevention, and Guillermo Soriano, Coordinator of Occupational Medicine and Wellness at SGS Group. Another presentation addressed health surveillance as a core element of prevention, delivered by Rafael Palmer, Head of Occupational Medicine at IBASSAL.

Later, the speakers participated in a roundtable discussion titled “Are We Preventing Psychosocial Risks or Looking the Other Way?”, featuring contributions from María José Fernández, Head of the Psychosociology Team at IBASSAL, and Marta Pérez Lema, Specialist in Occupational Medicine at SPRL CIMA 20.

The event was closed by IBASSAL’s Managing Director, Óscar Paz.
