The educational centres CEIP Es Molinar and CEIP Son Rullan, located in Palma, are set to undergo major renovations to improve their bathroom facilities. With a combined budget of €516,806.87, these works respond to the need to ensure optimal hygiene, accessibility, and comfort conditions for students and teaching and non-teaching staff. The renovations are part of a broader strategy to modernise school facilities as outlined in the Educational Investment Plan. The works will last 10 weeks at CEIP Es Molinar and 3 months at CEIP Son Rullan.

The Ministry of Education to Invest Over Half a Million Euros in Renovating Bathrooms at CEIP Es Molinar and CEIP Son Rullan
At CEIP Es Molinar, with an investment of €223,379.64, six bathroom areas will be renovated. The project includes a complete overhaul of sanitary fixtures, sewage networks, plumbing, electrical systems, and interior finishes. The school will also be equipped with three new accessible bathrooms, new sinks will be installed in classrooms near the preschool bathrooms, and improvements will be made to cleaning areas and changing rooms.
As for CEIP Son Rullan, the project involves a full-scale renovation with a budget of €293,427.23. Work will be carried out on the bathrooms of the primary, cafeteria, and preschool buildings, including the complete renewal of eight bathroom areas. Accessibility improvements will also be implemented, such as the creation of several adapted bathrooms and specific cleaning areas. New windows and sliding doors will be installed in the renovated spaces.
With these two initiatives, the Ministry of Education and Universities takes another step forward in ensuring school infrastructure that is safe, accessible, and suited to the current needs of educational centres.
