EBAP’s Board of Directors approves the tender for the digital skills training plan, to be implemented between 2025 and 2027
The Government of the Balearic Islands is driving forward technological modernisation within the CAIB Administration by investing a total of €1,285,498.39 in an ambitious training plan focused on the use of the Microsoft 365 environment, which was acquired last year. The plan is aimed at training 5,000 CAIB civil servants. This training initiative, along with introductory courses on artificial intelligence (AI) promoted by the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP) during the current legislative term, will enable public employees to acquire the necessary competencies to face current and future challenges, contributing to a more efficient, innovative, and citizen-focused administration.

The Balearic Government Invests €1.3 Million to Train 5,000 CAIB Civil Servants in the Microsoft 365 Environment
The training will take place between the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2027 and will be organised into two main tracks. It will be delivered by an external specialised company, due to the lack of internal resources to manage such large-scale training. The goal is to progressively train public workers in the use of Microsoft 365 tools and applications, such as Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, To Do, Planner, and standard office applications, thereby improving their efficiency and collaboration capabilities.
The EBAP Board of Directors, chaired by the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, Antònia Maria Estarellas, has approved the tender for this training contract, which is part of the school’s continuous professional development plan. Also in attendance were EBAP Managing Director Violeta Rodríguez and the Director General of Public Service, Antoni Mesquida.
Through this strategic initiative, the Government reaffirms that digital transformation is an unavoidable reality and that, as part of its commitment to ensure a more efficient, accessible, modern, and transparent public administration, it has the responsibility to support its public employees through this process of change.
