Palma will host the 25th National Congress of Hospitals and Healthcare Management in 2027. This biennial event gathers around 3,000 healthcare professionals and will take place on March 10, 11, and 12. The announcement was made today by Carmen Vicente, President of the Spanish Society of Healthcare Executives (SEDISA), during this year’s Congress, which concluded after three intense days in Zaragoza.

The Minister of Health of the Balearic Islands Government, Manuela García, emphasised, “We are very excited about organising and hosting this 25th Congress in Palma because we know that these biennial meetings serve as a roadmap for healthcare managers and political leaders to make decisions and take measures aimed at improving patient care. Let us never forget that our patients are the primary focus of all our healthcare efforts. Without health, there is nothing.”

Manuela García also highlighted that “Palma will become the national epicentre of healthcare management over the next two years, as the 25th National Congress of Hospitals—jointly organised by SEDISA and the National Association of Nursing Management (ANDE)—will be held here in 2027. Additionally, ANDE has also chosen Palma to host the 36th National Conference of Nurse Managers, scheduled for March 11–13, 2026.” Furthermore, next year, Palma will also be the venue for the National Congress of Transplant Coordinators organised by the National Transplant Organisation (ONT).

Minister García’s remarks concluded the National Congress of Hospitals after three days of intense work, during which the Balearic delegation contributed nearly 40 presentations, including posters, communications, and lectures, to share initiatives, projects, and experiences implemented in the Balearic Islands’ healthcare system. This represents a record level of participation, reinforcing the commitment of our professionals to continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
