The School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands Celebrates the Graduation of 75 Students
Minister Jaume Bauzà highlights the fundamental role of these new professionals in a key sector for the region
In total, 75 students graduated from the following programs:
- Proprietary Degree in Kitchen and Restaurant Services: 26 students
- Higher Vocational Training Degree in Tourist Accommodation Management: 22 students
- Proprietary Degree in Haute Cuisine: 25 students
A special recognition was also given to two Chinese students who completed the University Degree in Hotel Management through the partnership with Ningbo University (College of Science and Technology). Although the official graduation for this program takes place in February to accommodate international internships, the students celebrated the completion of their studies alongside their classmates today.
During the ceremony, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, personally congratulated the new graduates, praising their effort and commitment to a sector that is crucial to the Balearic Islands:
“From today onwards, you are ambassadors of the culinary and tourism excellence of the Balearic Islands. Your mission is no small feat: to ensure that every visitor leaves with the feeling of having had a unique experience.”
The minister also highlighted the value of EHIB’s work, describing it as an “exceptional school” that trains professionals by bridging academic knowledge with the dynamic realities of hotels, restaurants, and tourist establishments across the islands.
A New Academic Program for the Coming Year
During the event, EHIB Director María Llompart announced a significant addition to the school’s academic offerings: beginning in the 2025–2026 academic year, the current proprietary degree in Kitchen and Restaurant Services will become an official Intermediate Vocational Training Degree in Culinary Arts and Gastronomy. This transition strengthens both the professionalization and official recognition of the programs delivered by the school.
