As part of the symbolic visit, the delegation was also joined by two pairs of traditional dancers from the local cultural groups Sa Sínia and Es Rebrot, whose presence added a folkloric and festive touch to the occasion.

The main institutional event of the centenary will take place on June 29, the feast day of Saint Peter (Sant Pere), the town’s patron. The planned activities include a reception of authorities, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a ceremonial procession with the traditional Ministrils of the Consell de Mallorca, and a special mass held at the parish church of Consell.

President Galmés expressed his gratitude for the invitation and congratulated the town on reaching this historic milestone. He also highlighted the importance of such commemorations in reinforcing local identity, celebrating shared heritage, and strengthening ties between institutions and communities.

The Consell de Mallorca reaffirms its support for the municipalities in promoting and preserving their cultural and historical legacy, and looks forward to taking part in the centenary events that will mark a century of independence and local pride for the people of Consell.
