The Consell de Mallorca Takes Part in the Spain Convention Bureau 2025 Assembly in Granada
The Consell de Mallorca participated this Friday in the General Assembly of the Spain Convention Bureau (SCB), held over the past few days in Granada. Representing the island institution, the Councillor for Tourism, José Marcial Rodríguez Díaz, emphasised “the role of the congress sector in fostering responsible and territory-respectful tourism, in line with the policies promoted by the Tourism Department during this legislature.”
The assembly has spanned three days in the Andalusian city, which is hosting the event again, ten years after it last did so. The meeting, which concludes this Friday, has brought together experts and professionals who have shared the latest developments and innovations with representatives from 65 Spanish convention destinations.
Rodríguez used the occasion to learn first-hand about current trends in the sector in Spain and stressed “the importance of continuing to promote initiatives that contribute to a sustainable, competitive tourism model aligned with the future we envision for Mallorca.” In this regard, he highlighted “the strategic value of this segment for Mallorca, particularly during the mid and low seasons, when congress tourism helps boost hotel and commercial activity.”
