The Minister of the Presidency and Public Administration, Antònia Maria Estarellas, delivered a presentation detailing the initiatives undertaken by the Balearic Government to locate and recover individuals who disappeared during the Spanish Civil War and the Franco dictatorship. Estarellas reported that the awarding of the Fifth Graves Plan (V Plan de Fosas) is scheduled for next week. This plan will enable the excavation of twelve new mass graves in Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, to exhume the remains of the victims buried there.
The Minister expressed her satisfaction that, of the fifteen graves still to be opened in the Balearic Islands — according to data from the Ministry — the Fifth Graves Plan includes provisions to open twelve of them.
