The club, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, has made history with this achievement after a remarkable season in which it was crowned champion of Tercera RFEF.

The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, and the Second Vice President and Councillor for Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, received the management and coaching staff of U.D. Poblense in an official audience. The team from Sa Pobla made history this sports season by earning promotion to the Segunda División RFEF, marking their fourth Tercera RFEF championship title.

The meeting was also attended by Toni Prats, the Island Sports Director of the Consell, along with the club president, Miquel Bennàssar, known as “Molondro”, and the head coach of U.D. Poblense, Óscar Troya. Both highlighted the athletic and personal development shown by the “poblers” players throughout the season.

President Galmés congratulated the club for this milestone, “which is fully aligned with the sporting values that the Consell de Mallorca promotes among young people: effort and self-improvement as fundamental pillars.”

Galmés also acknowledged the work of the club’s management team, led by former professional goalkeeper “Molondro” for over 15 years: “a serious and exemplary leadership that is reflected in the successes achieved by the club where he grew as a player.”
