Llorenç Galmés, accompanied by the Minister of Social Welfare and President of IMAS, acknowledges the charitable work and social commitment of the organisation.

The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, and the Minister of Social Welfare and President of IMAS, Guillermo Sánchez, received today at the Palau del Consell the new president of Club Elsa, Ana Carmen Marín. The meeting was marked by recognition of the organisation’s solidarity efforts and social commitment.

President of the Consell de Mallorca Receives the New President of Club Elsa in Official Audience

Also in attendance was the former president of Club Elsa, Margarita Salamanca. President Galmés and Minister Sánchez expressed their gratitude to the organisation’s board of directors and all the volunteers of Club Elsa. Founded in 1977, Club Elsa is a non-profit association that provides direct support to individuals and families in vulnerable situations, offering food, clothing, and essential goods, as well as collaborating with other social organisations.

Ana Carmen Marín, who took over the presidency last February, shared her strategic vision for revitalising the organisation. Her goals include increasing the number of members and volunteers and strengthening the social initiatives carried out by the association.

President Galmés highlighted “the indispensable work of organisations like Club Elsa, which for nearly fifty years have served as a fundamental support system for many people and families in Mallorca.” He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Consell de Mallorca and IMAS to continue supporting the network of community and social organisations that complement and enhance public social policies.
