With the new service, users in the Santanyí area will be able to travel to Palma without needing to transfer between lines.

Starting next Tuesday, June 24, the new TIB 515e intercity express bus line will begin service, connecting Cala d’Or, Cala Egos, Portopetro, S’Alqueria Blanca, and Santanyí with Palma. This new semi-direct service will shorten travel times to Palma, as passengers will no longer need to transfer lines in Campos.

The Government Launches a New TIB Express Line Connecting Cala d’Or with Palma Starting Tuesday, June 24

The new 515e Cala d’Or – Palma line will operate five trips in each direction from Monday to Friday. Timetables and route details for the new line are available at tib.org. Like the Cala Rajada express line (411e), which began service two weeks ago, the express services will operate annually from April to October, starting next year.

The creation of these new express lines adds to the recent service expansions across the TIB network. These improvements introduced by the Government to the TIB intercity bus service are the result of amendments to the contracts of the three bus concessions in Mallorca. These changes aim to adapt the service to growing demand and a 20% increase in ridership in 2024. The revised contracts have also allowed for an expanded bus fleet and year-round service of all Aerotib lines from various municipalities to the airport.
