The Balearic Government Reaffirms Its Commitment to Proyecto Hombre Baleares with a €5.7 Million Grant
The Government of the Balearic Islands has reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against addiction by awarding a €5,729,071.44 grant to the Proyecto Hombre Baleares Foundation. The funding will cover part of the expenses for implementing the “Comprehensive Residential Therapeutic Intervention Program for People with Addiction Problems 2025–2028.”
On April 9, the General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Presidency and Public Administration issued a favourable report to initiate the grant process. Today, the Consell de Govern has formally authorised the Minister to proceed with its allocation.
This multi-annual grant will be distributed as follows:
- €1,074,200.90 for the year 2025
- €1,432,267.86 annually from 2026 to 2028
- €358,066.96 for the year 2029
The Proyecto Hombre Baleares Foundation continues to play a vital role in supporting individuals seeking to escape the grip of addiction. The organisation provides a program that combines residential therapeutic care with family support, aiming to restore lives and rebuild relationships. Interventions take place across the foundation’s three therapeutic communities in Mallorca—two for poly-drug addictions and one for alcohol dependency—spaces that operate with respect, dignity, and confidence in each person’s ability to change.
