The jury was chaired by Xisco Vargas, music producer and contest coordinator, and composed of Margalida Bauzà (Mobo Fest programmer), Pep Toni Ferré (director of the record label Bubota), Xavi Barceló (music technician at the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics), and J. Bordoy (winner of the 2023 edition of the contest).

The Art Jove Musical Creation Contest offers a total prize fund of €9,000, distributed as follows: a first prize of €3,000 in cash and an additional €3,000 to finance three live performances (at MoboFest, Fira B, and Palma’s Festes de Sant Sebastià). The remaining amount will be distributed among the finalists based on the jury’s decision.

Karlus (Carlos Ramis, Ibiza, 1997) recently released his track “Sa tornada (Capítol 1)”, the first preview of his debut studio album, in which he experiments with synthesisers and references traditional Ibizan music. His first single was “He llorado” (2023), included in the EP MTR, created together with producer Pache.

Maria Antònia Roses (Maria Antònia Rosselló, Petra, 1999) is a psychologist who began studying music at a young age with musical theory and piano lessons at the Petra Music School. Since then, she has continued to learn independently and through private lessons, participating in various musical projects over the years. In 2015, she was part of the band Istanbul, and later joined the ska-pop-rock group Toninaina. In parallel, in 2016, she launched her solo project May Rose, an acoustic voice-and-piano act that has since evolved into a more personal endeavour under her name, Maria Antònia. She was a finalist in the Pop-Rock 2023 competition and has been part of the groups Reggaetonpare and Mantra. In 2023, she pursued professional studies at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona. Her debut single, “Davall un altre cel estrellat”, was produced by Marcel Berger, and this year she is expected to release an album produced by Toni Morales.

The Ripples is composed of Toni Sbert (vocals and guitar), Nacho Andreu (vocals and guitar), Juan Andreu (guitar and backing vocals), Berto Meana (bass), and Jordi Rullán (drums and backing vocals). This Mallorcan band was formed in 2022 by Nacho Andreu and Toni Sbert, with the other members joining later to complete the lineup. Aged between 26 and 31, the group is inspired by the beatnik movement and 1960s rock ‘n’ roll. Their timeless music features dynamic riffs and intricate melodies, aiming for a classic sound infused with rock ‘n’ roll, country, and glam influences, while remaining contemporary.
