The Ministry emphasises that respect and coexistence are fundamental pillars for defending our society and our economy.
“We will immediately file a complaint with the police authorities to ensure that these acts do not go unpunished.”
The Governor strongly condemns the graffiti that appeared early this Saturday morning on the facade of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports. This is a direct and intolerable attack on tourism, the main industry of these islands, which has been unjustly and continuously harassed for far too long.

The Governor Strongly Condemns Arran’s Graffiti on the Facade of the Ministry of Tourism
The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, stated that the Govern “will always respect criticism and complaints from any sector, but it will never tolerate such serious acts of vandalism. These actions not only damage our shared heritage but also send a deeply unfair message against tourism. Tourism is not misery—tourism is the engine of solutions.”
The Ministry wishes to remind the public that respect and peaceful coexistence are essential to defending our society and economy. No disagreement justifies violence or attacks on public property.
Moreover, the Ministry confirms that these actions constitute a criminal offence, as the attack involved paint and graffiti on the facade of the Ministry’s headquarters on Montenegro Street in Palma, which is a protected cultural asset. “We will immediately file a complaint with the police authorities to ensure that these acts do not go unpunished,” it concluded.
