Mallorca Strengthens Ties with Córdoba Following the Launch of a Direct Air Route Between Both Regions

This meeting aims to strengthen the ties between the two territories on the occasion of the launch of the new direct air connection between Palma and Córdoba, operated by Air Nostrum, which began on July 3 and will remain active until August 28. As Galmés highlighted during the reception, the route “will enhance connectivity, tourism, and the local economy in both regions.”

In this regard, the President emphasised the significance of this link: “On one hand, our residents will have the chance to discover an Andalusian city full of culture, gastronomy, and historical heritage, and on the other, the people of Córdoba will gain a new option for visiting Mallorca.”

Galmés also pointed out the benefits for Córdoba residents living in Mallorca, who will now “find it much easier to travel to their hometown during the summer holidays to visit friends and family.”

This air connection represents “a major opportunity to boost tourism, connectivity, and the local economy for both Mallorca and Córdoba.” Both regions will benefit by being able to showcase and promote the cultural, heritage, touristic, and economic wealth of each territory.”

President Galmés also expressed his satisfaction with this new chapter in relations: “We are very pleased to strengthen our ties with Córdoba further and to reinforce both institutional collaboration and business sector cooperation.”
